Nerd Alert

So after coveting these nerd glasses for a very long time now ( seriously, it's been over a year)  I finally decided to take the plunge and....take them from my sister.  Speaking of said sister, growing up she always bought things with the evil eye on them.  They're said to ward off evil and ill intentions, and while it's a big part of Middle Eastern culture, I just felt silly wearing them..until now.  I spotted this pretty bracelet on HauteLook a few weeks ago and fell in love with the cream and ivory tones with hints of gold.  They even had it in black and turquoise!  

So, regardless of the meaning, I am loving my new bracelet as a stand alone piece :-)
