Thanksgiving 2010

I used to say I couldn't believe it's almost Thanksgiving...now I'm still surprised that Thanksgiving is over! Seriously, can we please just let life run a little slower?  Before you know it I'll be 33 with 5 kids! Ha!   So I decided to make a little gift for my one of my cousins who was here visiting.  She's getting married next summer so I wanted to get her pumped about being domestic by making her an apron.

I was attempting to look like this

But this is what I ended up with

Have I ever mentioned I'm cheesy?  Oh, I have?  A million times you say? Oh okay...   The pie is a bakerella brownie pecan pie and it's GOOD. yum!  And that was me modeling wearing the apron I made.  I am obsessed with that blue fabric.  I think I've made three aprons out of it already.  Love it.

Anyways, so here is what went down on Thanksgiving.

{Two types of salad , rolls, and green bean casserole..}
 {Leg of Lamb, TURKEY(!), cranberries, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, sweet potatoes, stuffing (insert Homer Simpson moan here), beans, and onion bread }

Kid's Table Before:

After:
All in all we were 29 people at the dinner table and had 2 more guests come later.

 The red shoes were a spur of the moment choice (meaning I found them in my sisters closet).

 A toast..

The clean-up..

After the cleanup things started to get a little crazy...

How about we move those tables and do some dancing? Sure!

 Um, I have no idea?  I shouldn't be surprised by these two anymore...
 some Wii fun..
 seriously, how cute?
 and Karaoke

We really did have a great time.  I definitely ate too much and I was worn out by the end of the night.  Last thing I know I was sitting on my moms couch saying how I was determined to stay up that way we could go shopping at 4 a.m.....then I woke up in the middle of the night with a blanket on me and all the lights out.  There goes another year of not joining in on the Black Friday fun.  Oh well!

I hope you're Thanksgiving was just as blessed and fun as ours was.
xoxo
