I grew up riding bicycles with the neighborhood kids for hours and hours. Bikes brought me tons of scrapes and bruises, ripped pants, and tons of memories. Needless to say, I am bike lover.
But retro bicycles grab by heart and say :
"You know you want me"
to which I respond
" I know I want you"
and then in unison we count:
"one, two, three, four..uno, dos, tres, quatro"
and then we frolic off to buy baguettes and stroll through the park.
It's quite dreamy actually.
{Side note: I am love Pitbull. That's about as dirty as my music gets..}
Design*Sponge blogged about a company called Bed Bicycles that specializes in retro bikes.
They had me at hello.
My favorite is Bella.
{Side note II: I would love to name my daughters dreamy names like Bella, Belle, Rose, Lily, August, June....and Roxy. Roxy is just sexy and fun...the rest are so girly and dainty. Love.}
{Side note III: We have already chosen our first boy and girls names Yusef (Joseph in English) for our young chap and Suzanne ( no translation) for the lady)
Alright, I think I've indulged enough in my love for bikes ( and other random things) for one day.
Ciao, bella

Love vintage bikes...clearly from my header! :)
ReplyDeletei just put a white basket on my Febie (i had her on your "love list" feature), but she wouldn't take! i guess some wheels are meant to be rebels.
ReplyDelete:)
rather than buying a pre-fab, i bet you could get a real vintage one for like $20 and get someone to help you fix it up. then it would be totally yours!
Gosh, I am completely in love with the first picture! It makes my photography-loving heart beat faster.
ReplyDeleteRetro bike are so pretty and I wish I would own one. But I'm too lazy to go anywhere by bike. Bad, I know.
