Growing up, any sort of travel required me to reach for my burgundy red velour track suit. In my defense our travels were always trans-atlantic and took a good 24+ hours to reach our final destination. That, and, the fact that living/sleeping in jeans for extended periods of time is *so* unbelievably uncomfortable. I'm proud to say that this time I didn't reach for my sweet track suit, but instead was able to create a look that was a.) comfortable b.) layered,( because we all know how reliable airplane temperatures are) and c.) cute. Plus, I didn't have to worry about any wardrobe mal-functions happening - there's nothing worse than running to your plane, juggling your luggage, purse, jacket, c.d. player, and then noticing that your goods are trying to make a debut.
I digress.
I'm pretty sure that from now on, any time I fly I'll be reaching for some sort of maxi skirt. And that I will become a better packer, and not have to resort to the airport floor for readjusting the weight in my luggage.
Yes, I am that girl.
p.s. I can't help but feel like Jamie Beck in these pictures. If only!
p.p.s I may have retired my track suit for travel, but I still have it hanging in my closet. Saggy, worn-out butt and all.
Love it, that maxi skirt is gorgeous <3 If I had one (or many) I'd always go back to it for comfortable yet stylish outfits, I think they are better than any normal jean pant

I think travelling in a maxi is the best idea. It's loose, comfortable and you look stylish - no better combo!

Such a great travel outfit! I just bought a maxi skirt. I love how they can be casual and comfy for a trip, or they can be dressed up. I actually wore mine in today's outfit post! I'll definitely be wearing it on future trips as well.

I too am a victim of the over-worn Juicy velour tracksuit. I wore it more times than I care to admit- on a plane and otherwise!! I love what you came up with here- the maxi looks really comfy but still cute and stylish. I may have to steal that idea for my next long plane ride...
ReplyDeleteGenius with the maxi skirt. Comfortable yet super stylish. I admit, I still reach for my leggings and comfy t shirt when I go. Therefore, I don't make blog posts about that because I look funny lol!
