Fashion Sense v. Wallet

There is a war going on.  Yea, you heard that right.  It's been two enemies that have despised each other for ages.  The clothes I want  need and how much they cost.  Why did I go to the BCBG section in Dillards yesterday?  Why do I always want the most expensive items?
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Let me explain.

The hubs and I were on our way out of the mall yesterday when I decided to make a *quick* detour to the BCBG section (yea our malls stink, its only a section and not a real store.  Oh, and they don't carry Marc Jacobs so I wasn't able to drool over check out the purses I'm lusting over).  I love the color burnt orange.  It's purty. And I'm tan (more yellowish now that it's winter) so I thought it would be a good combination.  Grabbed that dress and two others.
Playing dress up will be fun!

I really liked this dress.  I don't think the picture does it justice.  It's fun and vibrant and my husband loved it.  But at $248 I knew I'd have to put it back on the rack.  Oh well..onto the next dress.

Here is where the dilemma sets in.  I tried this dress on and suddenly I felt very Victoria Beckham-ish. (I hear you laughing..)  And for those of you who don't know.  I have been a fan of Victoria's since elementary school.  I was always assigned to be Posh Spice.  I cried when they broke up and I bought their C.D. when Victoria's Secret sold it a few years ago.  I want to be her. (I probably shouldn't have admitted all of that...)

Anyways, this dress was love.  The picture honestly does not do it justice.  Not at all.  I didn't want to take it off.  It was love.  The kind where you take it home and try it on everyday just because you feel so great & different in it.  The kind where you envision pink little hearts and little birdies fluttering around.
Aaaah, love.

...but it costs $298.
Can you feel the sadness in my heart?
Because I am heart broken  (and dramatic).

See what I mean?
God, I love her.

[The third dress wasn't that impressive..I think I've put you through enough for one day.]

So I'll probably spend the next forever or so scouring the internet to find a way to get this baby cheaper.
Because we are meant to be.
And what's meant to be will always find a way.
Right?
Righttttttttttttttttttt?!

Sincerely yours,
The New Posh Spice
