Cookbook: French Toast

Happy 4th of July my loves!  My favorite part of holidays ( or any day really) is a great breakfast.  While I try and set myself up with a healthy breakfast, there's nothing like a indulgent breakfast to put a smile on my face.  So on your day off today, I hope you'll indulge a little bit and enjoy all the festivities - breakfast included.

Ingredients
2 slices french bread
1 egg
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. maple syrup
Salt,a pinch
Cinnamon, a pinch

In a shallow bowl, whisk egg, cream, flour, syrup, salt, and cinnamon. Dip the french bread in, once on each side and then immediately place on a skillet set to medium heat.  Cook for a few minutes on each side.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and maple syrup (optional).
