With the majority of my friends overseas right now and Ramadan coming up sooner than I can wrap my head around I've got all things exotic Arabia on my mind.  Maybe it's because of my Middle Eastern background but I'm slightly obsessed with camels.  That camel picture must make its way to our home ASAP.  I wish I could blow it up and have it cover a whole wall but I'm pretty sure that this is one crazy thought Alaa will never go for.  Oh well, I'll just settle for a bunch of pretty, pretty exotic paraphernalia.  And I'm thinking that the camel sugar bowl can double as a flower vase.  See how I just justified it's purpose?  It's practically a two for one!

Pardon me while I obsess over everything and anything with pom pom trim on it.  Who would have thought?!  I love the Matthew Williamson clutch so much, I'm thinking about diy'ing a similar clutch a la Court & Hudson.

To my husband....

In exactly 5 days Alaa and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary as husband and wife. I feel a little silly celebrating only 3 years of marriage. Truthfully, I am so so lucky and blessed to be able to call Alaa my husband and best friend. I'm lucky enough to have gotten the better end of this deal and I cannot say how much my heart swells with pride when I hear people complimenting him. He truly is the most self-less person I know and I cannot wait to celebrate 50 years of marriage with him. So because he asked me to do this as a sort of guide for all presents to come, I've compiled a list of things that I'd love to have-because apparently I'm hard to shop for? Some things are reasonable and well within budget...others, well um, not so much ( i'm talking about you Chanel!). But everything on this list I adore and have wanted for a while.

and number 10 on my list is to share more laughs, love, and life together.

you may have noticed a trend by now- i covet something for a long long time before buying it.  i'm the type of person that looks for that special "it's the one" connection with everything.  well, let's add agate crystal stones to the list.  i've been coveting them for a few months now- but have yet to buy anything.  but i think i might cave in to those magnets.  how awesome would the kitchen look with those babies on it? as if i need another excuse to raid the fridge!

On the hunt for black wedges...

i am the type of girl that is 99.9% in heels.  I'm quite tall (5'8 - 5'9 ish) but nonetheless, I love heels.  I don't think a girl should limit herself  to wearing flats.  No, no, no...there's something indescribably feminine about heels.  But I think we can agree that not all heels are created equal.  While I love a good skinny heel, I try to save those for parties and events.  On my day to day shopping errands I'm a huge fan of wedges.  People always think I'm crazy for running around town in 4 inch wedges, but in all honesty, I don't even notice them.  My only dilemma is that I have ample amount of wedges in varying colors...but they're all sandals, catering almost 100% to summer.  Now, my current hunt is for the perfect black wedge.  Preferably completely closed toe and suede.   Unfortunately, the Steve Madden shoes that I found were incredibly cute...and incredibly high.  I'm usually not intimidated by height, but I need something for day to day and hours on end wear.

So basically after searching for hours, there are only two options that I'm content with.

  A Wedge + Mary Jane hybrid if you will.

Option A:  Zara $79.90

My sweet Zarita, you never fail to disappoint me!  Except, I kind of wanted them in suede..but it really isn't that shiny?

Option B: Ebay $22.00

So stinking cute and at a fabulous price.  I'm a little timid about buying something from Hong Kong ( not sure about the quality & shipping time..I kind of want them ASAP).  Also, the description says it's 4.4 inches...but they look higher than that. 

So help a sister out.  What say you?  Zara or Ebay?

what do all of these pants have in common?  they are the a.) epitome of the perfect trouser pants b.) absolutely stunning c.) by alice and olivia and finally, d.)  I NEED THEM!  

No seriously, I covet absolutely everything Alice and Olivia creates.  But these pants?  I must have them.  Must.  There is no replacement for a perfectly well tailored pair of trouser.  Nope, no replacement at all.
